Registered Veterinary Nurse in Kent offering loving forever home

by Becky
(Tunbridge Wells, Kent, UK)

I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to rehome 1 or 2 miniature schnauzers, to live with me and my partner Ben in our detached house with secure large garden in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. We are able to provide a loving and knowledgable forever home with lots of wonderful walks just on our doorstep. Though we both work, I have doggy daycare facilities at my veterinary practice (as well as discounted veterinary fees/pet insurance) and Ben also works from home occasionally. We're willing to travel to find the right dog; age and medical issues are not a problem but they need to be okay with other dogs as my parents' miniature schnauzer regularly comes to stay. If you think we may be suitable, please email me with any questions at becky_watt@hotmail.co.uk

Re: rescue sites
by: Becky

Hi Izzy,

Thank you for the info, I have already contacted all of the rescues you listed.
Sadly the Irish rescue (MSRI) don't rehome to the UK as they have enough people wanting to rehome them in Ireland.

I haven't had any luck so far with Pro Dogs Direct, Many Tears Rescue or DBARC - Unfortunately, as you mentioned, a lot them require a resident dog so I haven't been able to rehome any from them but I am regularly checking their websites and Facebook pages in case a suitable schnauzer comes up for re-homing.

Thanks,
Becky

Rescue sites
by: Izzy

Hi these sites have rescue dogs for rehoming though some need a resident dog to help them settle in depending on their background- good luck in your search

www.manytearsrescue.org/ (search under schnauzer rather than miniature schnauzer)

www.prodogsdirect.org.uk/

www.msri.ie/ (schnauzer rescue in Ireland )

www.dbarc.org.uk/

and maybe some near to you or look on gumtree or preloved websites as they still allowed to advertise dogs.

Odd
by: Linda and max

That's odd as it worked when we put it up, but you're right, it doesn't work now.
Here is the correct link, which should also be correct now on Home page, I have to manually paste as for some reason I can't copy and paste into this comment
Www.max-the-schnauzer.com/our-two-minis-in-Berkshire-still need-a-new-home-august-17.html
If this doesn't work, please access from updated home page.
Good luck

Three minis currently seeking homes
by: Linda and Max

Hi Becky, it sounds like a great home for a Mini. There are two in Berks which need rehoming and Albert in Wisbech, Cambs , has just come on to the website today urgently needing a new home as his owners are emigrating. Check out his page in the rescue section.
