loving owner seeks elderly Mini as companion July 9th 2023

(Cotswolds)

I am looking to offer a home to an elderly Miniature Schnauzer. My 13year old Charlie, adopted from the Schnauzer Rescue Society died recently after developing Type 1 Diabetes - a very difficult disease to control in dogs.
I need a replacement of similar age to myself - assuming 7 dog years = 1 human year, Charlie and I were the same age! Despite this, however, we had three walks a day.
I live in the Cotswolds so there are many good walks close at hand.

Very sorry for your loss
by: Linda

Dear Brian,
Very sorry to hear of Charlie's passing -and thank you for sharing the photo, he looks like a really lovely character, bless him.
We don't have Schnauzers to rehome ourselves, we put people who have one to rehome in touch with those offering a new home.
Hopefully somebody in your area will contact you if they are looking for a new home for their elderly Schnauzer,
Post- Covid, dogs have started coming into rescue centres or are being advertised online when owners no longer have the time or money to keep them.
You can try The Miniature Schnauzer Club Re-Home and Rescue Trust - contact Caroline Wareing on 01242 696 768.
Or Schnauzerfest on Facebook
The Schnauzer Club of Great Britain helps to rehome all three sizes. You can contact them online at https://www.schnauzerclub.co.uk/contact.php

Good luck,
Linda
