Loving home offered for adult Giant Schnauzer, Morecambe, Lancs Nov '21

I have been involved in rescue for a number of years have found homes for over 25 dogs I had three pointers one English from breeder and who is 17 now still goes to beach every day .
I lost my Cyrus pointer last year she was only 9 had her 6 years she had suffered terrible abuse before I got her. My younger pointer who is now 6 really misses her he is also a rescue was 9 kilo when found .
I have had several rescues over the years my husband fell in love with giant Schnauzer 15 years ago. We have never been in a position before to have one due to having three pointers and before that labs .
I have researched the breed I do not want a puppy as I am 67 a young 67 very active my husband is 57 I am retired my husband works part time we have a secure garden and we go to beach every day

Dear Mrs Marshall,
Good for you for rescuing all those dogs, and amazing that one has lived to 17 years old!
We don't have Schnauzers to rehome ourselves, we put people who have one to rehome in touch with those offering a new home. Hopefully somebody in your area will contact you if they are looking for a new home for their Schnauzer,

Since Covid, we are not getting many Schnauzers in need of rehoming as more people are at home and have time for their dogs. However, the situation is changing and dogs have started coming into rescue centres or are being advertised online when owners no longer have the time or money to keep them. If you do buy online, please check everything very carefully, THERE ARE A LOT OF SCAMS.

You can try Schnauzer Houzer on Facebook, who do a great job of rehoming Schnauzers of all sizes and are usually looking for potential adopters.

And the co-ordinator for Northern Schnauzer Rescue is Pamela Ciceri (based in North Yorkshire) Pamela.ciceri@btinternet.com They also help to rehome Schnauzers.
