Loving and active professional family in Surrey looking for Standard Schnauzer (29 Nov 2017)

by Stephen
(Thames Ditton, Surrey, UK)

We are a experienced dog family and have rescued and lived with street dogs in the past while living abroad but we have no pets at the moment. We have a medium sized enclosed garden in a village location. We are a family of three, Dad works F/T , Mum works from home P/T, and we have a 6 year old girl. Looking forward to two long walks a day as a minimum with long walks and other outdoor activities like rambling, wild swimming, trips to the beach and frisbee at the weekend. ]

4 month old miniature schnauzer puppy looking for new home with loving family
by: Anonymous

Hello, I have a miniature schnauzer puppy, 4 months old, and only recently with us (to explain, I am separated and live with my daughter, my ex-husband gave in to my daughter's constant request for a dog and without my consultation, surprised her with miniature schnauzer puppy). She has only been with us for 6 weeks and my daughter and I love her dearly but I work full time (and long hours), my daughter is at school all day, and my mother has kindly been coming up each day so she has not been left for longer than 3 hours. Whilst we are managing, and making her a priority, it is difficult. We do not have a garden. My mother cannot indefinitely commit to this and I am not in a financial position to pay for a dog walker. Asides which, each morning I leave the house, I feel guilty for leaving her for only a few hours. I take her out twice before going to work (6:00am toilet, and walk at 07:30am). I am very attached to her and even typing this is upsetting however I know it is best for us and her in the long run that she is with a family who are around more during the day and importantly have a garden. More than anything, I want her to have a garden to play in. She is an adorable loving puppy, a little boisterous at the moment, but incredibly affectionate and smart. She sits, gives paw and high fives. I want her to to go a home ideally with another dog as I would like her to have a dog companion and playmate. She LOVES playing with other dogs and is described as being bigger than she is. She is a pure breed, and is up to date with immunisations and worming. We are based in Scotland. If you are interested, please let me know your circumstances.

a mini?
by: Izzy

Hi there are a few rescue centres that have mini schnauzers for rehoming - though often you need to have a resident dog to help them settle but have a look at these sites (there are probably others but I know these have some)

www.manytearsrescue.org (search under 'schnauzer' to bring all up.

www.msri.ie

www.prodogsdirect.org.uk

www.dbarc.org.uk

good luck in your search
