Lovely home waiting in Littlehampton for Mini after loss, 7/5/23

by Hayley
(Rustington West Sussex )

Hi I am looking to rescue a Min Schnauzer pup, after loosing my 14.5 year old baby girl.
I could choose and buy a non rescue one, but Ash was a rescue and I really would like to help a rescue instead.
I belong to various charities on animals and dogs.I feel totally lost without a dog, and have had animals my whole life of 62 years of fit age.
I live in Littlehampton.
Kind regards
Hayley

Re-home Marlow
by: Lisa

Hi I have a 13 year old pure mini and I need to find him a loving home we rescued him as he was a stud dog and he had never been on grass before we had him so he has urine marks on his paws . Marlow is a lovely dog especially with kids I have 3 , 13,11&9 and he is such a good boy with them. He loves to bark even if it's just at the sky . He is loosing his teeth but he is old even in dog years . He likes to walk and is good off the lead and will come back it just takes time .He is a greedy eater and will eat anything he has soft food due to his teeth and he has he hair cut very short due to his scratching . We have to give him up due to finding a new home as at the moment we are in temporary housing and we can't find a house that takes dogs and I think he needs someone who can be with him all day as he likes company .

So very sorry for your loss
by: Linda

Hi Hayley,
Thank you for sharing the photos of your beautiful girl and so very sorry you have lost her.

We don't have Schnauzers to rehome ourselves, we put people who have one to rehome in touch with those offering a new home. Hopefully somebody in your area will contact you if they are looking for a new home for their Schnauzer,
The situation is now changing Since Covid, and dogs have started coming into rescue centres or are being advertised online when owners no longer have the time or money to keep them.
If you do buy online, please check everything very carefully, THERE ARE A LOT OF SCAMS and puppy farms/people breeding for profit with little knowledge of Schnauzers.
You can try The Miniature Schnauzer Club Re-Home and Rescue Trust - contact Caroline Wareing on 01242 696 768.
Or Schnauzerfest on Facebook
The Schnauzer Club of Great Britain helps to rehome all three sizes. You can contact them online at https://www.schnauzerclub.co.uk/contact.php
And the co-ordinator for Northern Schnauzer Rescue is Pamela Ciceri (based in North Yorkshire) Pamela.ciceri@btinternet.com They also help to rehome Schnauzers and will have rescue contacts throughout GB.
Good luck,
Linda
PS Add a comment with your email address so people can contact you if they have a Schnauzer to rehome.
