Looking to rehome a Standard Schnauzer in Glasgow, June '21

Dearest Harvey

Dearest Harvey

I had to say cheerio to my best pal, Harvey, last June; he had cancer. I miss him every day and whilst another Standard Schnauzer will never replace him it would help to ease the pain.
I have always given homes to adult dogs in need rather than puppies and my house doesn't feel right without a doggy friend around.
If anyone can point me in the right direction of a Standard who needs a new home then I'd be most grateful.
Thank you

Very sorry for your loss

Dear Gerard,
What a beauty Harvey was, I am sure you miss the cheeky little fella dreadfully, just as we miss Max.
We don't have Schnauzers to rehome ourselves, we put people who have one to rehome in touch with those offering a new home. Hopefully somebody in your area will contact you if they are looking for a new home for their Schnauzer,
Since Covid, we are not getting Schnauzers that need rehoming as a lot of people are at home and have time for their dogs. However, the situation is slowly changing and dogs have started coming into rescue centres or are being advertised online when owners no longer have the time or money to keep them. If you do buy online, please check everything very carefully, THERE ARE A LOT OF SCAMS.
You can try Schnauzer Houzer on Facebook, who do a great job of rehoming Schnauzers of all sizes and are usually looking for potential adopters.
And the co-ordinator for Northern Schnauzer Rescue is Pamela Ciceri (based in North Yorkshire) Pamela.ciceri@btinternet.com They also help to rehome Schnauzers.
Good luck!
Linda
