Looking to give a loving home to an adult Mini Schnauzer 1st Dec 22

by Tricia
(Surrey)

After over 20 years with Mini Schnauzers there is a hole in my heart now I am without one. I fully trained my last, Tycho, myself and despite him ending up as a fabulous adult he was a naughty pup and took 3 years to properly grow up. I am now in my mid 70s and very fit but daunted by the thought of three years training. I could offer a lovely home to a Mini who was aged perhaps 1 - 5. Sex immaterial. I have a big secure garden and have great walks all around me. No other pets (or grandchildren) at home but I do visit a home with a shy cat. My location is South West Surrey close to North Hampshire here in the UK.

Very sorry for your loss

Dear Tricia,
Sorry to hear you are without a Mini, I imagine there will be a big hole ,left.
We don't have Schnauzers to rehome ourselves, we put people who have one to rehome in touch with those offering a new home. Hopefully somebody in your area will contact you if they are looking for a new home for their Schnauzer,
Since Covid, we are not getting lots of Schnauzers in need of rehoming as many people are still working from home and have time for their dogs. However, the situation is changing and dogs have started coming into rescue centres or are being advertised online when owners no longer have the time or money to keep them. If you do buy online, please check everything very carefully, THERE ARE A LOT OF SCAMS.
You can try The Miniature Schnauzer Club Re-Home and Rescue Trust - contact Caroline Wareing on 01242 696 768.

Good luck,
Linda
