Looking to adopt a miniature schnauzer 24/6/22

by Vivienne
(London )

Hello,
I am looking to rescue or adopt a miniature schnauzer. I am an experienced dog owner when it comes to the breed. My own dog tragically died recently he was 4 years old and had a salt and pepper coat. I live in London and own the ground floor flat that I live in.
Therefore I am preferably looking to rescue a young dog (3 or under) that isn’t salt and pepper
I work from home 3 days a week and am at the office 2 days. On the days I am at work - I have a lovely small business (Lucky Paws) that would come and take Hans (my deceased dog) out to a variety of parks for 4 hours to socialise and exercise with other dogs.
If there are any dogs available that you would think is suitable please do let me know.

Very sorry for your loss
by: Linda

Dear Vivienne,
so sorry to hear about Hans's passing -and at such a young age. I am sure you are heartbroken. We nearly lost Max at 4 to Cancer, but were very lucky he survived.
We don't have Schnauzers to rehome ourselves, we put people who have one to rehome in touch with those offering a new home. Hopefully somebody in your area will contact you if they are looking for a new home for their Schnauzer,
Since Covid, we are not getting lots of Schnauzers in need of rehoming as many people are still at home and have time for their dogs. However, the situation is changing and dogs have started coming into rescue centres or are being advertised online when owners no longer have the time or money to keep them. If you do buy online, please check everything very carefully, THERE ARE A LOT OF SCAMS.
NOTE: on the internet/Facebook, Harrylucky7schnauzers based in Manchester is a SCAM. They are using the genuine Lucky7schnauzers an American breeder's photos and info. They ask you for a deposit of £400 then they will tell you their address (supposed to be in Manchester UK).
You can try The Miniature Schnauzer Club Re-Home and Rescue Trust - contact Caroline Wareing on 01242 696 768.
Or Schnauzer Houzer on Facebook, who do a great job of rehoming Schnauzers of all sizes and are usually looking for potential adopters.

Good luck,
Linda
