Looking for a Standard Schnauzer, May 2020

by Heather
(Sussex)

I am looking to foster or adopt a standard schnauzer. It has been 4 years since my last 2 schnauzers who were brothers, passed away.
I have since relocated and settled.
Since the Covid isolation it has made really think about my life and when I am the happiest and that is when I own a dog and can foster dogs until they find their Forever Home.
So I would like to first find a schnauzer that I can offer a Forever Home.
I am living in Hastings, East Sussex, UK but would travel to any location to rescue a dog.

There are so many people here in Ontario Canada looking for a Schnauzer purebred to rescue or adopt. None are available and rarely come up. I noticed a lot in the USA

Your schnauzer search

There are about 5 standard schnauzers needing homes on Dogs Trust website. Some are in Ireland but others in London. Due to Coronavirus rehoming is temporarily suspended but it may be worth you having a look and registering your interest. Good luck.

Hi Heather,
We don't have Schnauzers to rehome ourselves, we put people who have one to rehome in touch with those offering a new home. Hopefully somebody in your area will contact you if they are looking for a new home for their Schnauzer,
However, due to the current Coronavirus situation, we are not getting Schnauzers that need rehoming as a lot of people are at home and have time for their dogs.
You could also try Schnauzer Houzer on Facebook, who do a great job of rehoming Schnauzers of all sizes and are always looking for potential adopters.
Good luck!
PS Add a comment with your email address so people can contact you if they have a Schnauzer to rehome.
