Looking for a Standard, after loss. London 26/10/22

by Barry & Sakoto
(London)

We're in SW London (near Wimbledon Common) and lost our Standard Schnauzer cross a week ago. We'd love to have Standard if there's one looking for a family.

Very sorry for your loss
by: Linda

So sorry for your loss.
We don't have Schnauzers to rehome ourselves, we put people who have one to rehome in touch with those offering a new home. Hopefully somebody in your area will contact you if they are looking for a new home for their Schnauzer,
Since Covid, we are not getting lots of Schnauzers in need of rehoming as many people are still working from home and have time for their dogs. However, the situation is changing and dogs have started coming into rescue centres or are being advertised online when owners no longer have the time or money to keep them. If you do buy online, please check everything very carefully, THERE ARE A LOT OF SCAMS.
The Standard Schnauzer is quite rare and realistically, we have only ever had one or two up for adoption, so please don't build your hopes up.
You can try Schnauzer Houzer on Facebook, who do a great job of rehoming Schnauzers of all sizes and are usually looking for potential adopters.
you may want to start looking for a good breeder, the good ones usually have waiting lists. Look on the Kennel Club website or the Schnauzer breed clubs.
Good luck,
Linda
