Idyllic home offered in Hants, June 2020

(Hampshire )

My husband John and I have been dog owners and lovers for many years
We have owned a Minature schnauzer called Billy who we lost a few years ago and more recently A Samoyed called Sapphire who we lost 14 months ago.
One of the great issues with owning a medium size dog like Sapphire was as she became less able we had to lift her into and out of everything which as a retired couple we struggled to do.
We would like to be considers as adoptees for a rescue Minature schnauzer which can be easily lifted should they become lame or have any joint conditions .
We live in Hampshire in Priddys hard which is in the borough of Gosport within walking distance of open spaces and the sea ( Stokes bay for example) .
We have several grandchildren who visit but do not live with us and our children own dogs too.
Another Minature Schauzer, a cavapoo and a cockerpoo so we are a family of dog lovers .
We would want any dog to be neutered and be able to insure for any future conditions .

Our e mail address is
Phone number 02392353203
I’m sure our vet could give a reference for us if required
Just to add we live in a small detached house with a fully fenced garden and would be willing to take any dog to classes ( including on line at these difficult times)
Many thanks
John and Sue Elgie

sounds lovely for a Schnauzer

We don't have Schnauzers to rehome ourselves, we put people who have one to rehome in touch with those offering a new home. Hopefully somebody in your area will contact you if they are looking for a new home for their Schnauzer,
However, due to the current Coronavirus situation, we are not getting Schnauzers that need rehoming as a lot of people are at home and have time for their dogs.
You can also try The Miniature Schnauzer Club Re-Home and Rescue Trust - contact Caroline Wareing on 01242 696 768.
Or Schnauzer Houzer on Facebook, who do a great job of rehoming Schnauzers of all sizes and are always looking for potential adopters.
