House check needed for Giant schnauzer rescue in Yorkshire 05/12/16

Good people of Schnauzer rescue community,

I am in need of your help and guidance! After sad months spent in a shelter in Romania, Max, a 10 year old giant Schnauzer is finally making his way to the UK. With the help of a few wonderful people from the Midland Animal Rescue Centre we have managed to have him advertised on various groups and pet rescue pages and today I have received the first phone call from a guy in Yorkshire (near Leeds) who is interested in offering Max a permanent home. Because I live in Reading, it is very difficult for me to conduct a house check in Leeds.

Is there anyone in the area who might be able to help? I am happy to cover the expenses for this!

Thank you all for your messages and apologies for not replying sooner but things have been hectic!

I have decided to keep Max and look after him! We managed to visit the house in Yorkshire and everything went well with the couple who wanted to adopt him but after 3 days they have returned him as Max wasn't getting along with the cat. Given his age and everything that he's been through in the last few months I don't want to stress him anymore...

If it doesn't work out for any reason, I would be very interested in having him. He would go well with our 9 year old Standard. And our home is easier for you to check out

Well done you for getting him out. I'm sure he's very grateful.
I'm in Bristol with maisie, our 3.1/2 year old Mini, so also to far away but PLEASE let us all know how Max gets on.
Lets hope he learns English with a Yorkshire accent quickly.
