Home wanted for Poppy, mini aged 12. 25.04.16

(Farnham, Surrey)

Hi I have a lovely little miniature schnauzer called Poppy, we live in Surrey. We rescued her when she was about 5 so we think she is about 12 now. She's very sweet and just wants a warm bed, her dinner, a little walk and love. She has limited vision and hearing. We need to find her a new home asap. Jimandjacks@yahoo.co.uk.

Poppy

Thank you so much for your kind offer but she has calmed down and now GCSEs are over the stress levels have reduced all round!!!
And in reply to the obnoxious anon person, I had already tried all the obvious easy suggestion your pea brain came up with and none had worked!!!! I rescued this little dog from a puppy farm and love her dearly. But my children will always come first, thankfully things are now resolved but such comments don't help anyone!!!! You have no idea of the full circumstances.

Rehoming
by: Terrie`Anne

Have you rehoused Poppy. I have a 13 year old shihtzu that is good with other dogs but very quiet and I think they can be good companions for each other.

Why not put the dog in another room while the daughter is studying? Oh no, for the sake of a matter of weeks while daughter studies for exams you now want rid of poor, deaf, blind Poppy after seven years? Don't you realise how that comes across to anyone reading this? I hope someone comes along who really cares for animals and is in a position to get this poor creature away from such shallow individuals as these. I imagine the grandparents will / have been treated with similar "throw away" mentality once they are / were becoming a little more high maintenance!

We've had her for 7 years and ever since we got her she's barked at my eldest daughter. She's shows no aggression, just little woofs!!! Really strange but it's continued and has got worse with age. My daughter is doing her GCSES and needs quietbto study, but as soon as Poppy sees her she won't stop barking! she doesn't do it to my other daughter who is 11! So it's not a child thing. She's getting older and I think it will get worse, so for my girls sake Pops needs a new home. She's very sweet.
