Home offered after loss of Pepper in Lancs

we have recently lost our Schnauzer Pepper so we are looking for another baby to love. We don't necessarily want a puppy as there are plenty of dogs out there that need loving homes.
We are a family of 5, the eldest 2 have left home so have a very quiet household. There is someone in pretty much all the time and live within 2 minutes of fields all around, so plenty of long walks.
We are willing to travel to meet.
