Both in our late 20s, with plenty of time at home to train and take care of the new addition to our family.
We are preferably looking for a dog under 3 years of age and are able to travel by car for visits.

You can contact us at charliftn@hotmail.com

Ralph needs a new home, can you help?
by: Linda

SEE THE PAGE:

I'm reaching out to see if you can help with rehoming my pet Ralph. He's almost 3yrs old and whilst I love him dearly, his triggers and impulsive nature, coupled with living in a City are now just a little too much for us to handle.
I feel Ralph will be much happier out of London, away from his triggers and in a more controlled environment with a garden.
Ralph's triggers:
skateboards
rollerskates
cats
children
high prey drive
Ralph is not good with small children and has lunged and nipped on 2 occasions.
We have worked with trainers and behaviourists over the last 2/3 years and still finding a lot of issues which we think are made worse by living in London, Ralph growing up through lockdown and impact on some socialisaion aspects that COVID limited.
I have been in touch with the dogs trust, but am reluctant to send him to a kennel and would love to be able to know where he is going, what I think would suit Ralph:
Family home with lots of outside space
no young children
no cat
quiet area with few distractions
he'd love to be with other dogs
Many thanks and hope to hear from you with any tips/advice on next steps.
Regards,
Chrishan

good luck!

Hi Charlotte and Cameron,
We don't have Schnauzers to rehome ourselves, we put people who have one to rehome in touch with those offering a new home. Hopefully somebody in your area will contact you if they are looking for a new home for their Schnauzer,
Since Covid, we are not getting many Schnauzers in need of rehoming as more people are at home and have time for their dogs. However, the situation is changing and dogs have started coming into rescue centres or are being advertised online when owners no longer have the time or money to keep them. If you do buy online, please check everything very carefully, THERE ARE A LOT OF SCAMS.
NOTE: on the internet/Facebook, Harrylucky7schnauzers based in Manchester is a SCAM. They are using the genuine Lucky7schnauzers an American breeder's photos and info. They ask you for a deposit of £400 then they will tell you their address (supposed to be in Manchester UK).
You can try The Miniature Schnauzer Club Re-Home and Rescue Trust - contact Caroline Wareing on 01242 696 768.
Or Schnauzer Houzer on Facebook, who do a great job of rehoming Schnauzers of all sizes and are usually looking for potential adopters.

Good luck,
Linda
