Bristol family looking to adopt a schnauzer

by Elizabeth
(Bristol)

We are a family of 4 with two children aged 4 and 8. Our family recently lost our beloved mini schnauzer Bessie. We feel that we are now ready to welcome another schnauzer or schnauzer cross into our family again. They bring such laughter and happiness. We live in Bristol and have a safe garden and lots of parks nearby for lovely walks. We don’t have any other pets. We are willing to wait, and also happy to meet as many times as needed. Thank you for reading. I can be contacted at marshmellowskies@gmail.com

Thank you!

Thank you Linda for the advice. I attempted to contact the rescue regarding the schnauzer you mentioned but unfortunately we live too far away. Also, I attempted to find schnauzer houzer on Facebook but was unable to find them. I don’t suppose you have a direct link? Many thanks again for your advice, we will keep looking! Take care, Lizzie

Hi Elizabeth,
We don't have Schnauzers to rehome ourselves, we put people who have one to rehome in touch with those offering a new home. Hopefully somebody in your area will contact you if they are looking for a new home for their Schnauzer,

Since Covid, we are not getting many Schnauzers in need of rehoming as more people are at home and have time for their dogs. However, the situation is changing and dogs have started coming into rescue centres or are being advertised online when owners no longer have the time or money to keep them. If you do buy online, please check everything very carefully, THERE ARE A LOT OF SCAMS.

In fact, one Mini has just come on to our website today, Alula in Somerset/East Devon she is 4 years old. Here is the link:

You can also try Schnauzer Houzer on Facebook, who do a great job of rehoming Schnauzers of all sizes and are usually looking for potential adopters.

Good luck,
Linda
