5-year-old Iris in rescue in Nottingham needs a new loving home 29th July 2022

(Nottingham )

Can anybody offer Iris a new forever home? Preferably with another dog to help continue build her confidence.
She is currently being fostered with One Paw at a Time in Nottingham.
you mcan see all her details, more photos and a couple of videos of her at: https://onepawatatimedogrescue.co.uk/adopt-a-one-paw-old/adopt-a-one-paw-iris/

Please email onepawatatimedogrescue@gmail.com or phone 07596 366 616 if you may be able to help Iris

Here are her details:

I am a gorgeous full of character miniature schnauzer from the UK and I am approximately 5 years old
I have a full cataract in my right eye which means I can’t see perfectly but it doesn’t stop me. It can make me a bit grumpy if I get startled but I soon snap out of it.
I am nosy so will come and have a look what is happening but can be wary meeting new people in the home and will bark. When I realise I can get lots of fuss then I am fine after a while.
I show a little interest in toys when they are thrown and am learning to play with them.
I am so affectionate and enjoy a fuss and lots of cuddles, and I love snuggling next to you on the sofa. In fact I love being with people. I will follow you everywhere.
I am looking for a home with another calm doggy friend who will help build up my confidence with new people, to help me settle at night and will give me the space to snuggle with my humans.
I love going for walks and love sniffing and striding ahead. I squeal and whine when I see other dogs as I really want to say hello. I now accept a stoke from the human too.
My favourite pastimes are strokes, snuggles and my food. I have shown no food guarding but still learning to wait for food and not jump up for my foster sister’s treat as I get very, very excited! I am a bit snatchy as I so love my food! I eat my food in a slow feeder.
I can be left for reasonable periods of time and will just snooze the time away. I am thrilled to see you and will make sweet noises to show you that I have missed you.
I have travelled in the car in a crate. I need more experiences to settle and know it is ok.
I sleep in my basket in the kitchen, with my foster sister and sleep fine through the night after being settled a few times.
I am fully housetrained.
Respectful Children over 12
I am vaccinated, microchipped and will need to be neutered.

Welcome Iris 💕
by: Ros

I would be very interested to offer a home to dear Iris, I have a five year old Minature schnauzer who suffers with separation anxiety and needs a friend to keep her company. My mini happily sleeps in the kitchen at night and loves other dogs Snd all human.
She is a bundle of joy and very confident unless she is left alone.
