3.5y-o Black & Silver Mini needs forever home, London,Dec -REHOMED!!

We are looking to re-home our very loved 3.5 year old pedigree unusual black and silver Mini Schnauzer, Rupert. We had a baby at the end of 2017 and unfortunately some childhood trauma for me came up, as i was unfortunately bitten badly by a family dog as a child.
With our son very active now and in a small flat it has become unmanageable with Rupert. We're not taking this decision lightly and looking only for a suitable home for Rupert as he’s really been part of our family

Rupert needs a home where he will not be left alone for long durations of time. He is a dog that you can go everywhere with, he travels well in the car and is excellent with other dogs.
He is a giant dog in a tiny dogs body as I love to say, as he will walk forever, he has loved going to norfolk and cornwall with us. He will spend all day outdoors happily. But equally will be very content at home, especially if he has a garden to sniff around in.

Rupert needs time getting used to new people, he has some anxiety with strangers and can be barky . However, Rupert is very very intelligent and for the right owner that has the time to spend working on this anxiety with him, I believe it is something that can be addressed easily.

He is very well trained, he will not touch food without permission, he sits, stays, waits, rolls over, will play search game with food hidden in fields and around the house, we never had problems with his recall. In our flat he even rings a bell to go to his toilet on the balcony.

He is nervous of children and can be barky with children also, so we think it be best for him to be homed with a family without young babies and toddlers, but we believe this can be worked on if needed, he is fine if you know how to approach him. He plays with my 10 year old nephew.

Thisd couple could be perfect

This lady is offering a home to a Mini in London, she could be perfect:
susayates@gmail.com

"My husband and I are in our early 50s, fit and healthy, we live in North London with no family or other dogs but with access to a garden and local parks. Neither of us work full time, me only two days a week and my husband from home. We are used to mini schnauzers, looking after a friend's during holidays and each week whilst she is at work and we have had dogs both big and small all our lives. We would now very much like to adopt a dog or bitch and would happily adopt a dog of any age but are not in a position to have a puppy.
I appreciate this precludes us from Many Tears and other Puppy Farm rescue centres because we lack a first dog, but we consider our home to be just as loving and experienced as that with a dog in situ.
