White Miniature Schnauzer now has a coppery beard...

Hi, All...
My lovely white Miniature Schnauzer, Lilly, has developed a copper-colored beard over the last few months. She will be 5 in January.
Her food has been the same for the last year now. Do you think I should try Angel Eyes...or does anyone have another recommendation?
Your advice is appreciated!

Coppery Beard
by: Anonymous

Well my friend's schnauzer's beard also turned coppery while my schnauzer's did not and she is 4 years older than him. We figured out that it was the rawhide she was giving him on a daily basis that either the saliva changed and change the color or the rawhide did it. My schnauzer is on a low fat diet because of issues she's had so no rawhide for her. See what you're giving him to eat.

saliva

I have been told this color comes from too much saliva on the hair. Usually due to too much licking.
And, sometimes, the licking is due to allergies that
cause paws, etc to itch Do his paws also have some copper colored hair
