Smacking lips at night

My mini smacks his lips at night when we all go to bed. He sleeps in my bedroom on his own bed.
He only seems to do it in the middle of the night, occasionally getting up for a drink but not often.
He drinks plenty of water and eats Royal canin sensitive digestion.
He has a very very sensitive tummy and can only eat his kibble NO TREATS
