skinny white schnauzer is vomiting and looks like a skeleton- HELP!

My 4-y-o dog has been to the vet and the vet says that he is anorexic. That is the most craziest thing i have ever heard. My dog can't keep hardly any food down and he has the body of a skeleton. He has bad breath and bad teeth and breaths funny sometimes, he also has low energy.
My dog also goes to the bathroom about 15 times a day (pee).
He seems depressed and sick. He is a white schnauzer that sleeps a lot. Help! I am taking him to a different vet on the 26th of this month.

Poorly Doggy
by: Michele

I hope you have found what's wrong with your girl... the previous post .. this person could be right but if she has bad breath .. is it sweet, as this could be kidneys, or even liver problems.. vomiting and lack of appetite also comes with these diseases..but not with Diabetes .... but your vet will, I hope, get to the root of her health problem and if it's not too late treat her..

Common in this breed....
by: Anonymous

Addison's Disease: Also known as hypoadrenocorticism, this extremely serious condition is caused by an insufficient production of adrenal hormones by the adrenal gland. Most dogs with Addison's disease vomit, have a poor appetite, and have little energy. Because these signs are vague and can be mistaken for other conditions, it's easy to misdiagnose this disease until it reaches more advanced stages. More severe signs occur when a dog is stressed or when potassium levels become high enough to interfere with heart function, causing severe shock and death. If your vet suspects Addison's, she may perform a series of tests to confirm the diagnosis.

Update?
by: Natasha

Hi, I was just wondering if you could let us know how your mini schnauzer is doing. Has her health improved or have you found out what her illness is? Thank you so much.

Go to another vet today
by: Betsy, Alpharetta, ga

I don't know what condition your dog has, but it sounds to me if it could be a very serious illness.

I would find another vet TODAY.

kidneys not working?
by: Anonymous

Hi I just posted a website but wanted to point out it could be your schnauzer has kidney problems. Please see if you can get his kidneys examined as this may be why his breath smells bad, he's losing weight and pees a lot.

Good luck <3
