Sharapova

by Carmen
(Sacramento, CA, USA)

On September 23, 2013, we loss our beloved Sharapova. Only 5 years old, she died 1.5 weeks after being diagnosed with stomach cancer. She went so fast.

Shara was the most sweetest "little girl". She had such as joy for life; a playful dog with cats and other dogs and children, her "Disneyland" was the dog park, she would yelp with excitement when we got out of the car to go to the dog park. Shara was "my girl baby" and made me laugh, she brought joy into my life. She loved biting water, and would hang over my tub, waiting for me to take the shower head and spray her in the face. She loved playing with my cat, Georgie. She took the best part of my bed but I didn't care - I loved her so.

Everyone loved Shara. Shara's spirit was awesome. My heart is broken, however, she will be in my heart forever. I pray that someday I will see her again.

NOTE FROM LINDA AND MAX:
Thank you for sharing your wonderful Shara with us, Carmen.

I am so sorry Silver Dancer. It is one of the hardest experiences in life, loosing a pet that you love so much, but we all must go on and live our lives. You will have plenty of time to focus on the loss so stay as busy as you can. Again, I am so sorry for your loss. These dogs are special, very special.

Sharapova wasn't my dog but I sure wish that she belonged to me. I couldn't get enough of her. I wanted her every minute and whenever her "Daddy and son" went out of town, I would watch Shara and tell her "Daddy and son" take your time coming home and if you need time to settle in, that's fine, I'll watch her as much as possible. He would joke and say people are saying be careful, Carmen might not open the door some day and keep Shara. Shara was my "girl baby". I had a "boy baby" and his name was Tigger (gray Tabby cat).

Shara the Baby Love
by: Cathy

This dog was brought home from the pound! My nephew was lucky enough to be the one who got her as there was a line of people who wanted her. She was the most loving doggie, she slept every night with him. She was loved by so many people, and was well taken care of too. She loved visiting her Momma Carmen for weekends. She was just a wonder little doggie soul. I miss her when I go to visit because I don't here her coming to the door to greet me. I would hold her and she would always put her head on my neck and shoulder and snuggle. We are all so sad to have lost her so soon. I would say almost every schnauzer I have met is kind and loving, but Shera was just the best!!

My Sincerest Sympathy goes to you.. what a beautiful girl she is, and to have to say Goodbye at such an early age must have been devastating.. but she is still with you in Spirit.. I have written my Story on Rainbow Bridge .. mine is about Rebel 1 and Ringo..
I read what Alan wrote and tears came to my eyes.. and would love to know where he got it from so I can print it out..

What your sweet baby might tell you now
by: Alan

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say
But first of all, to let you know that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from the Rainbow Bridge.
Here I dwell with God above
Here there is no more tears of sadness; there is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight
Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you.
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you badly, you are part of My Plan
There's so much we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things that He wished for me to do
And foremost on the list was to watch and care for you,
And when you lie in bed at night the day's chores put to flight,
God and I are close to you in the middle of the night.

When you think of life on earth and all those loving years
Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears
But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain
Remember there could be no flowers, unless there could be some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
If I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over
Now, more than ever before, my life to you is closer.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb
But together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too
That as you give to the world, the world will give to you.
Then you can say to God at night and "my day was not in vain."
And now I am contented that my life was worthwhile,
Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
Lend a hand to pick him up as on your way you go.

When you are walking down the street and you've got me on your mind
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go, from your body to be free,
Remember you're not going. You're coming here to me.
