Schnauzer - not walking far any more - why?

I have a schnauzer two and half years old, her name is Sasha. She could usually walk a mile, now she can't walk a half a mile on the best of days.
She's in good heath very playful,but not walking far only except to pee and poo....................
why is this?

Is the Weather Getting Warmer?

I don't know what the weather was like when she shortened her walks but my mini schnauzer does great on long walks (4 to 5 miles) when it is cool outside. However, when it gets hotter than 75 F he heats up pretty easy, runs from shade to shade and wants to go home pretty quick. I live in Florida so I've learned in the summer to keep the walks pretty short. In the winter and spring we enjoy our long walks (but I bring lots of water and give him water breaks even if the weather is cool). This is just my experience with my schnauzer. Hope it helps ypu.
