scab that is getting bigger

My female Schnauzer has a scab that started as a tiny spot and now has tripled in size - no puss, no bleeding just a really hard scab that is growing in size- has anybody else experienced this with their Schnauzer?

My 5 month old miniature schnauzer has scabby bumps on his body,mainly his head. The vet has put him on piriton just incase he has allergies. He scratches him self too. I will wait to see if the tablets work. I really dont know what to think.
