My mini schnauzer had stopped eating and was drinking an overload of water and throwing it back up, this went on for 3 days, I was taking her to the vet this morning but we couldn't find her. My husband went out into our backyard and finally found her....she had passed away during the night. So, if your dog starts drinking large amounts of water and throwing it back up, get them to a vet ASAP. Donna

my mini won't eat and is down to 7.6lbs

My little sugar has quit eating and the vet cannot find a medical reason. She is on nausea meds and now an appetite stim. I have cooked chicken and ground beef for her, bought expensive gluten free foods and snacks. She is still not eating.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Our 13- year old mini would just stop and stand still for minutes at a time, not respond to her name, drink excessively, she bloated up like a balloon and panted a lot when it was cool. We took her to the vet who drained 3 lbs of fluid and said she had multiple cancerous tumors. We drained her again three days later and reluctantly put her down. I well up recalling this 2-months later now. It helped bring reassured that there was "little" (essentially none) chNce of a return to pain free health. And the bills were quite high for the procedures. God bless you and your dog!
