Pink color (similar to old blood) surrounding his anal hair

I've recently notice my 9mos old schnauzer is very sensitive around his anal. Now I am noticing his then white, now pink hair is a little moist. What does this mean? And has anyone experienced this? Should I be worried?

NOTE FROM LINDA AND MAX: Not sure what that it. I would keep a very close eye on it and if there is a discharge, blood, alump or greater sensitivity, get him to the vet ASAP.
