Peeing schnoodle

by Celeste
(Colorado)

My two year old male schnoodle has been peeing or marking everywhere in my house. He is neutered and has been since he was old enough to be.
We have a dog door that he uses so having access to go is not his problem. I own the house and it is only six years old. We have another dog but she has not peed in the house since she was a puppy 5yrs ago and since then we have had the carpet replaced. We had another dog who passed away but again he did not pee in the house and I have had the carpets cleaned. I have them cleaned at least twice a year. I need help!!!
I love Harley but I am at my breaking point! I am ready to take him back to the breeder we got him from. The thought of that breaks my heart, but I cannot have him peeing constantly! In the past week he has peed 8 times! Help me please!!!!!!

QUESTION FROM LINDA AND MAX:
Have you had Harley since he was a puppy and has he just started doing this?

Consult the vet
by: Phil Medway

When an adult dog starts urinating in the house it is usually a medical problem. You need to make a visit to your vet as the poor lad may have a urinary infection or even stones.

Doogie didn't go in the house but he was going out every 2-3 hours, vet asked if he went in house, he could have kidney or bladder infection, so doogie is on antibodies, got. 1 more wk of them, them test him again, hope you find out what is going on

Your neutered Schnoodle, Harvey
by: Michele

That's a shame.. but you don't say that your girl dog has been spayed.. if not, maybe it's because when she comes into season Harvey is marking his territory inside..You bought him from a breeder, but was he a rescue, if so maybe he has been punished for doing this therefore he pees because he thinks he is going to be punished, and it's kind of submissive thing.. I suggest you speak to your vet as he might not have been neutered properly, but don't part with him as this would upset him terribly..persevere.. and he'll be fine..
