I have made up my mind what to feed
by: michelle

I am now feeding Skeeter Natural Balance Ultra Premium (small bites.
It's not a special "puppy food" but the bag and the guy at the feed store says its for all stages of life.

Feeding your Schnauzer fruit and veg
by: Michele

Hi Linda.. my boys like carrots too.... also cabbage, sprouts and would you believe it.. red peppers as in salads.. not the long ones .. the sweet round ones.. cut up in strips...Benji also likes bananas, and apples, but the red ones as they aren't sour like the green granny smiths...Just a note to those Schnauzers like grapes.. they are poisonous to dogs .. so are raisins and sultanas.. tomatoes too... they can cause kidney problems...I think I am right..I am going to post another photo of Benji.. later.. If anyone is interested in Stripping their Schnauzer then my breeder has made a DVD and you can buy it online from Dezynadog.. website is...
wwwthestylingacadamy.. A Master Class by Linda Forsyth.. she has competed and won multiple Gold Medals in the UK and the USA winning Awards for Best International Groomer and Eurogroom Champion.. I have the DVD and it lasts 115 minutes ...Brilliant as I have decided to hand-strip Benji myself...

Dry food
by: Michele

My previous comment says that BENJI does not want
breakfast .. Well he does, now, 40 grams of Royal Canin Puppy
The Narure-Diet is all natural Chicken, brown rice & vegetables. All my boys also get fresh vegetables mixed in with their food. They love broccoli ..

COMMENT FROM LINDA:
Max HATES broccoli!!!...but he does like carrots

Dry food for your puppy
by: Michele

It depends what your breeder has told you and what he is on, now.. My Benji is 15 weeks now and was started on ROYAL CANIN.. Mini- Junior..and I dampened that with water boiled form the kettle ( now he has it dry) (the Royal Canin is for small breed puppies up to 10 months, and the Best ) He was started off on 30 grams at 8 weeks three times daily.. 8.0.am 4.0.pm and 8.0.pm and then at 12 weeks I increased the amount to 40 grams three times a day,
but I also give him a third of Puppy Nature Diet which is semi-moist, at 4.0. pm and mix the 40grams of Royal Canin in... This morning, being breakfast, I put his dry food down, as I stopped dampening it when he was 12 weeks... and he didn't want it.. so now he'll wait till 4.0. his next mealtime and also Rebel and Rambo's as they all eat together, each boy with their own bowl.. and never argue.. Hope this helps, and Enjoy your new puppy..Whats his name ?

Which dry food for your new puppy
by: Kay

Look for a food that is grain free. My puppy was raised on Honest Kitchen food along with venison and other raw meats for dogs during her first 8 weeks. Yes, it is expensive. She is now 9 months old, and we have her on Orijen kibble and add Primal raw nuggets and raw duck, both of which come frozen, at supper. We go to a great pet store (Louie's Pet Bistro in Auburn, Michigan), where the owner (MaryJo) researches all the foods and will not carry dog food that comes from China or that contains any products at all that come out of the USA or Canada. Orijen and Acana brands are great.
Enjoy your Schnauzer pup!!!
