Miss Lily

by Novella Monroe

We foster a puppy mill dog for a month before we decided to adopt her. The rescue that are associated with told us her story.

She lived in a outdoor cage for seven long years and having litters of puppies one after another. Then one day the owner was done with her he throw her out on the side of the road and left her to fend for herself. A nice lady came along and picked Miss Lily up and took her to the vet. Got her shots and spayed.

Then she was place in four foster homes. We were the forth foster home for poor Miss Lily. Then one day my husband decided to adopted her and give her a home to live out her days in. Well we had her a year and half before she passed away from congestive heart failure on February 12, 2016. She will always be loved and miss she was our sweet loving angel.

Sorry to hear of you and your husbands loss of miss lily, Novella. this story reminds me alot of Zach our male dog that passed away , no one wanted him either and my husband and i adopted him and gave him love and a good home till he passed away from cancer and low sugar shock which we knew nothing about because their were no medical records on him at all, so we know how you feel as it tore us apart, we still miss him and always will and my story is on here also if you care to read it. best wishes to the both of you and RIP lily, your mom and dad really loved you. Respectfully joann

well done
by: Izzy

Hi well done for giving Miss Lily a home so she could enjoy her last years. So many puppy farms who don't care about dogs just the money they bring in.

I am sure you miss her lots- all the best for the future

Miss Lily

Thank you for sharing your story. It sounds like poor Miss Lili had a hard life until she had the good fortune to meet you and your husband. How can people be so cruel? Miss Lily was lucky to find you and have the last part of her life in a loving home. She finally knew what it was to be cared for and loved. Well done to you.
