Miniature schnauzer hit puberty

Hello, our 7 months old miniature schnauzer (male) just hit puberty. We have to repeat comands about 5 times before he will do it. He also runs away in the park (he actually left the park) so we keep him on a long leash now. Plus he is overly excited when we go outside, especially when there are other dogs nearby. We keep training him (i'm sure i can be more stubborn!) He is still adorable but.. when does puberty end? And when will he go back to listening again?

Yes, you have a lively adolescent on your hands who is pushing the boundaries. Keep training him a little bit every day and rewarding him with treats. That is the right thing to do.
It varies but may last until he is two years old or even older.
I don't know what you feel about neutering? But it may be an option to consider if he is running off after females.
