I have a 6mnth old Mini. His new thing is scratching the wall, what can I do to stop this behavior?

Hi Darlene, this is unusual.
I am presuming that he is physically well and, if that is the case, I would guess that he could be either under-exercised or under-stimulated or both.
Young Minis have a lot of energy that needs burning off in a good way.
Try taking him outside for more walks and playing games with him inside - also get him some chew toys, or a Kong Toy stuffed with peanut butter.
Tire him out!!
