LucyLou waking up too early

My mother's 12yr old Schnauzer has been waking my Mum too early in the morning.
Is there anything we can do to change that? How long can she go thru the night?
She is normally brilliant.

May I suggest you take her to the vet and get her kidney function checked out through a blood test. What you describe is a common problem with older Schnauzers.

Well, unfortunately the older dogs get the more frequently they need to relieve themselves. The only option you may have to do is take LucyLou out right before you go to bed. That way, she may sleep a bit longer. Again that may or may not work.
