14 month old mini schnauzer had frothy sickness 6 days ago. Visit the Vet who gave her an injection to calm it. She is now sleeping most of the day and very lethargic, not very interestd in eating.

We have had 2 blood tests and results came back with Hyperthroidism which is almost unheard of in a small dog and her age. She had been having Natures Menu raw food only a little added to her Royal Canin. Raw food given to some dogs can be the cause of Hyperthroidism, research was done on several dogs..She is no longer being given this food and is so much better, another blood test in a month time for new results.
NOTE FROM LINDA: Thank you for the update, and thank goodness they have found the cause. So glad she is a lot better -good luck in the future.

very sorry to hear that

did the vet say what the cause was?
It's all very well giving a jab for the sickness, but you need to find out what is causing the problem.
Maybe she ate something poisonous?
If she is still not well in a few days, we would have some blood tests done to try and get to the bottom of it
Hope it's not too serious
