I have a 11 week old miniature schnauzer (male) and we are thinking of getting a second one. At what age is it best to get a second one and can it be another male.

Introducing a second schnauzer to a puppy
Thank you for your advice. We have now adopted a 9 month old westie, she has only been with us a few days. In a very short time they have become best friends, even to the point of both squeezing into a bed that is designed for one ! They are great company for each other and have become a very mischievious pair together.
Loving the puppiness, they are brill.

Schnauzers are super!! Thanks for all the great info, I just saw an adorable Schnauzer named Jude who searching for a new home:
Of course it's OK to get another puppy and also OK to be a male, providing they are different temperaments..
We had two and one was very placid and the other outgoing they got on great.. always the eldest was boss and sometimes growled, but they never fought..Anyway they will be company for each other.. .. 2 Bitches tend to argue more... Males do not.. Have fun..
