How to register your white schnauzer if both parents are AKC registered?

by Maddy
(Austin, TX. US)

So if the parents of a white schnauzer are recognized by AKC but the AKC does not recognize white schnauzers can you still register them?
Not sure how it works? Her parents were salt and pepper. So how do you compete the dogs in competition?

White is not considered a standard color by the AKC, so they are not eligible for AKC competition. Not sure about other organizations. Salt and Pepper, black and silver and all black are the standard colors accepted for competition in the AKC.
