low blood suger can cause them to shake like their cold

If warming your puppy doesn't help. Try putting a small amount about. A quarter of at teaspoon of corn syrup in there water for a few days. Small and young dogs have a hard time keeping there blood sugar level. Low blood sugar will cause them to shack like their cold.

may be something else other than cold

Are you sure it is cold related? Some dogs shiver when they are scared?
And, I assume your house is warm enough.

I'd buy a little sweater to put on for temporary
help But, if this doesn't stop, I'd first call the breeder for suggestions and then take the puppy to your vet.

From my readings of buying dogs, I think 6 weeks is rather young for a dog to be taken away from the mother and siblings. The shivering may have something to do with this fact.
