How much time do I need to spend with my miniature schnauzer to settle her into our family home

We are considering buying our first Minature Schnauzer to make our family which consists of mum, dad and x3 boys complete! I am planning to take approx 5 days off work to give it as much attention as possible but after that I will be out of the house for the majority of the day, 3 days a week with the exception of coming home during my lunch break to walk/feed etc. What are people’s opinions on leaving it at such a young age?
Alternatively my husband could take it to work with him as self employed but not sure it would be ready to be taken out of the house straight away

I'm afraid a Schnauzer won't like that. They are very people orientated dogs. Five days is not a long time to settle in.The pup will only be about 9 weeks old or so and that is too long to leave him or her. If you are determined to get a Schnauzer, you would be better getting the dog at the beginning of the summer holidays so the dog has six weeks to settle in.
Either that or consider getting an older dog, but please don't leave a young puppy alone in the house nearly all day.
