Gone but forever in my heart.

Overlooking our work.

Overlooking our work.

On January 1st,2007 I lost my 4 month old grandson. With a broken heart and needing something to love I started looking for anything to poor my love into. Someone suggested a puppy. I had never heard of a mini Schnauzer until I started looking and up popped this picture of the pretties little dog my eyes had ever seen. So I got on the phone and talked to the breeder in Arkansas and a week later "Frog" was home. He was the best puppy so easily trained and was my companion. He traveled everywhere I went and became a Service Dog when I became a diabetic. I had him for 6 1/2 years. Frog went to the Rainbow bridge to wait on me on August 23rd,2013 after a brief bout with Cancer. He was the best friend I have ever had.

NOTE FROM LINDA AND MAX:
Thank you for sharing your lovely story. What a good looking and characterful chap, he was your Frog and handsome prince all rolled into one.

Frog a Prince Forever
by: Hoyt

Sorry for your lost. Frog truly looked like a Prince. He was a dashing young man. I lost mine Kris few years ago. Oh the pain is still with me, I miss him so much. Schnauzers are wonderful friends. My spouse wanted to get me another one but like I told her nothing will replace my Kris. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

What frog might tell you now
by: Anonymous

Message:
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say
But first of all, to let you know that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from the Rainbow Bridge.
Here I dwell with God above
Here there is no more tears of sadness; there is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight
Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you.
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you badly, you are part of My Plan
There's so much we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things that He wished for me to do
And foremost on the list was to watch and care for you,
And when you lie in bed at night the day's chores put to flight,
God and I are close to you in the middle of the night.

When you think of life on earth and all those loving years
Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears
But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain
Remember there could be no flowers, unless there could be some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
If I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over
Now, more than ever before, my life to you is closer.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb
But together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too
That as you give to the world, the world will give to you.
Then you can say to God at night and "my day was not in vain."
And now I am contented that my life was worthwhile,
Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
Lend a hand to pick him up as on your way you go.

When you are walking down the street and you've got me on your mind
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go, from your body to be free,
Remember you're not going. You're coming here to me.
