i am about to buy an 8 week old blue merle schnauzer, two out of four died. Should I be worried?

Yes, definitely.
There is no such thing as a Merle Schnauzer, so you are not buying a Schnauzer and the parents will not have been properly health tested.
Walk away. You are storing up a lot of pain and heartache.
