There is a yahoo group called natural schnauzers you should join for all your schnauzer questions and dogaware.com can also be very helpful. Schnauzers are prone to pancreititus (sp?) and that sounds like what he has. Not a vat but famiaiar with schnauzers. We have 5 and a foster on the way.

Slime in stools..

Maybe it is because you changed his food.. you have to do it gradually over seven days.. Is his food too fatty ? I feed Rebel and Rambo on Nature-diet .. all flavours and never had any problems.. in it there are no artificial additives or colourings, and the food contains.. as well as meat or fish.. veggies and rice.. Hope your Schnauzer is better soon...
