Can I leave new schnauzer puppy alone?

I just got a new mini schnauzer she is 6wks old and i was wondering if i can leave her alone in my apartment n for how long!
She is my first pet ever so i want to take really good care of her! Also i would like some advise on how to handle her crying at night.

It is not a good idea to leave such a young puppy alone for a length of time above a few minutes, she will be so sad and depressed and wondering what has happened and where her family is.
Build it up from a few minutes a day. The maximum she should be left alone at any time is 4 hours, but this not until she is a few months old
