Will our elderly female standard Schnauser be harmed by nibbling of young vines of Boston Ivy? We think her diarrhea is a result of this action.

Yes, all parts of Boston Ivy are poisonous to dogs.
If she continues to have diarrhea, get her to the vet for an injection.
