8 month mini won't sleep on her own anymore

by Tara

Hi, my schnauzer decided she didn't need her crate anymore, so she slept downstairs on her bed in our TV room. Never an issue until about 6 weeks ago, I spent most of my nights being woken up from 3am and spent the rest of the night on the couch. She has spent the last 2 nights on our bed. Not ideal. How do I get her back in her own bed in our room?

I thought I might have to crate her again...fingers crossed all goes well - I believe it's going to be a squeaky night.

Unfortunately, our Schnauzers can wind us around their little paws. They also want to be EXTREMELY close to us.
She is just pushing the boundaries to see how far she can get...and unfortunately has been quite successful so far.
It is difficult to turn the clock back, but I would put her in a crate with the door closed in your bedroom and buy some earplugs for the first few nights. The other option is to put her back in her own bed in the TV room (and again buy earplugs) she will eventually get used to it if you stand your ground - and that's the hard part. ...Good luck!
