4 yr old female mini schnauzer won't eat, drink, walk. what do I do?

by Jo
(Kansas)

I just got a 4 yr old female mini schnauzer 3 days ago from a kennel. She's a very sweet dog. She is not house broke.
I want her to be a house doggie. I can't get her to eat or drink. She hasn't urinated or pottied since I've had her. She won't walk either. I held her in my lap for 2 hrs last night.
Do you have any suggestions?
I am really getting worried about her. I know it's a totally different environment for her.

Help!!

New Schnauzer

I would say take her to the vet! It does take time for them to warm up. I rescued mine when he was three years old and it took time for him to adjust but the not going to the bathroom and not eating or drinking that long is alarming. Just make an appointment and easy your nerves! I hope all is well!

Think is is time for a vet visit
by: Anonymous

Usually the kennel asks that you take the dog to a vet for a once over after you've adopted the dog.
Poor little thing. I'd get her an appointment immediately. Hopefully, it's just nerves but, you should know. I'd say 3 days is long enough w'out food or water and time to take some action.
