Is Lymes vaccine safe for a schnauzer?

Is it safe to give a Lymes vaccine to a miniature Schnauzer ??????
I just lost My 5 1/2 yr.old dog as a result of the Lymes vaccine due to total renal failure.
After the booster shot 1 month later He was dead within 10 days. Please Help!!!!!!
