I was told at 12 weeks of age you can double the weight and be a good gestimation of adult size. is this true?

If your new puppy is a Schnauzer, then he sounds like he is definitely a Miniature.
Although some people breed tiny Schnauzers, (especially in America) there is technically no such thing as a toy schnauzer, according to the Kennel Clubs.
The Miniature is the smallest size of Schnauzer - the others are the Standard and the Giant Schnauzer.
