Can I neuter my six year old Mini Schnauzer?

(San Pedro Sula, HONDURAS)

I have a six-year-old Schnauzer, a six-year-old Maltese and a seven-month-old female chihuahua. Suddenly my schnauzer has been very violent all the time bitting my other two dogs.
My vet recommended me to neuter him but, Im concerned about his age because hes six years old already.
Can I still neuter him?
